How To Beat Gestational Diabetes With Dr. John & Maya Mohan

Dr. John Poothullil interviews Mrs. Maya Mohan, who was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy. She had no previous history of diabetes.

In the following audio segment, which first appeared on USADailyChronicles, I interviewed a young mother who was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy.

Mrs. Maya  Mohan is a young mother who was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy. She had no previous history of diabetes. She did have a family history of diabetes. She was told that she is very susceptible to develop Type 2 diabetes. She controlled her gestational diabetes with dietary changes that included reduced intake of grain-based complex carbohydrate. During her second pregnancy a few years later she was careful to practice her dietary modifications and succeeded in avoiding the development of gestational diabetes. For the past 8 years after the birth of her second child she is still free of diabetes and continues her healthy lifestyle. This is a lifestyle that involves healthy eating as I explain in detail in my book “Diabetes: The Real Cause and The Right Cure”.
